To correctly code your download links you must use the words ["CODE] [/CODE"] but without the inverted commas.
You can type the words out: ["CODE] [/CODE"]
OR
You can select your download link/s like this:
And then click the button which looks like this:
It will automatically wrap CODE around your download link/s.
E.g.
